Only a few citizens attended Monday’s July PfCONA meeting. I’m sure the guests outnumbered the usual neighborhood regulars. However, I hope this communication spreads the important information we heard that night. I will post some recorded video online soon of the speaker’s presentations. I want to thank Cora, Vic, and Barbara for hanging out with me at the Rec Center on Sunday. It was Cora’s first time to attend a Get Together. She and her husband and children have lived on Gatlinburg Drive for about 5 years. She saw the Get Together notice on the gna@yahoogroups.com list.
With Vic and Barbara, we had a great conversation about all sorts of topics. My apologies for just summarizing the high points. Continue reading Summary of June 21 Get Together
We reserved the Pflugerville Rec Center front room for a Get Together from 3 to 5 PM on THIS Sunday, MAY 17th
What is a Get Together?
You know sometimes emails just aren’t enough to get people interested. You need to meet and talk things over person-to-person. We invite you to stop over and say hello and share your thoughts on how to make our neighborhood a better place to live. Its informal. No arm twisting. Everyone is welcome.
We just want to make a difference, get acquainted, and share ideas. We are the Grapevine!!
We invite you to join our network and Get Together.
It may get less attention than state and federal elections, but our Pflugerville City Council elections have more influences on our neighborhood’s quality of life. City Council directly budgets money for parks, road, water, and encourages business and housing growth.
Here is the spring schedule for elections:

Gatlinburg volunteers will come to your house to collect junk for the March 28 Pflugerville City-Wide Clean up. This will save you time in exchange for a donation. You may schedule a pickup time for either Friday evening March 27 or early Saturday morning. See the form below. Continue reading Got Junk? Register for Gatlinburg Pick Up
I hope you’ll come over to the Recreation Center between 1 and 3 PM SUNDAY to socialize with your Gatlinburg neighbors.
As we said before, this is all about getting acquainted and conversation. No elections, no arm twisting, or heavy agenda! Continue reading March Get Together on the 15th, 1 to 3 pm
Eighteen Gatlinburg neighbors met for several hours of friendly conversation January 18 at the Pflugerville Recreation Center. They learned that a “Gatlinburg Get Together” was simply an opportunity to share concerns and build neighborly cooperation.
Diversity was a key characteristic of participants. They lived on different Gatlinburg streets in different parts of the neighborhood. Several had been residents for over twenty years while one couple had just bought their home three months ago! Most had not met before and came out of curiosity and a desire to get better acquainted.
